Biography
Dr. Elizabeth Tellez is a Postdoc Fellow of IIASA and the Mexican National Council for Science and Technology. She joined the Advanced Systems Analysis (ASA), Evolution and Ecology (EEP), and Risk and Resilience (RISK) Programs in 2017. Dr. Tellez holds a PhD in Economic Sciences with specialization in Financial Risk Analysis. She has published several papers and book chapters. She has worked as an Economist at the Central Bank and as Deputy Director of the External Sector at the Ministry of Finance in Mexico. She has participated in several conferences and as referee in scientific research journals. At IIASA, she focuses her research on financial networks, systemic risk, financial stability, agent-based modeling, macroeconomic-environmental modeling and econometric analysis. Currently, Dr. Tellez is working on network-based modeling and big data as part of the IIASA Cross-Cutting Project, System Risk and Network Dynamics.
Research Interest
Her research interests lie in the fields of macroeconomic theory, financial risk analysis and economic-environmental modeling.
