Biography
Juraj BalkoviÄ has over 10 year experience with soil and plant science and research at national as well as international level. He joined the Ecosystems Services and Management (ESM) Program at IIASA in March 2012 as a Research Scholar. He is currently leading the Agro-Environmental Systems Group. His research includes biophysical crop modelling at regional and global scale. Dr. BalkoviÄ received his master’s degree in 1999 and his doctorate in 2003, both in soil and plant science from the Comenius University in Bratislava, Slovakia. He is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Natural Sciences of the Comenius University, and has been a Research Scholar at the Soil Science and Conservation Research Institute, Slovakia.
Research Interest
His research interests includes biophysical crop modelling at regional and global scale.
