Biography

Stefan Frank joined IIASA's Ecosystem Services and Management (ESM) Program in January 2011, as a Research Assistant. Dr. Frank holds a master's degree from the Vienna University of Economics and Business and a PhD in agricultural economics from the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna. Since 2011, he has been contributing to the development of the GLOBIOM model, a global partial equilibrium land use model where his main responsibility lies in the further improvement of the European agricultural and forestry sector. Dr. Frank participates in several international research projects on the topics of indirect land use change, biofuels, European biofuel sustainability criteria, and emissions from the land use, land use change and forestry sector.
