Biography
Adolf Feizlmayr (1937) studied petroleum engineering at the University of Leoben. After working for the design department of Rohölgewinnungs AG (RAG) in Vienna he moved to Innsbruck and started working for Transalpine Ölleitung in Österreich GmbH in 1965. During the implementation of the TAL project, he was moved to the engineering company Bechtel to work as assistant to the project manager for the Austrian section. From 1967, the year when ILF was founded, to 1969, Adolf Feizlmayr was the technical director of the TAL company in Austria. In the following years he and Pius Lässer jointly established and managed ILF. As an engineer, he played a major role (and continues to do so) in all large-scale projects in his field of expertise. In 2007, he was appointed to the advisory board, and in 2016, he was appointed chairman of the supervisory board of the ILF Group. In 1978, he was awarded the Decoration of Honor in Silver for Services to the Republic of Austria, in 2003 he was given an Honorary Doctorate by the University of Leoben, and in 2007 he received the Ring of Honor from Munich’s University of Technology.
