Biography

HWANG is Head of Clinical Program & Operations Logistics at Hookipa.  He leads the Project Teams for products HB-101 (CMV, phase 2) and HB-201 (HPV), aligning all pre-clinical, manufacturing, regulatory, and clinical operations activities.  Andy has over 10 years of experience in clinical trial management, specializing in early phase, first-in-human, global studies.  He has extensive knowledge of clinical trial operations and logistics needed during each life cycle of a study (i.e. start-up, maintenance, and close-out).  Before joining Hookipa, he worked for 9 years at Novartis Oncology Translational Medicine as a Clinical Trial Head and 3 years at Bayer Oncology Business Unit as a Clinical Program Manager.  Andy holds a Doctor of Pharmacy degree (PharmD) from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles.
