Biography
Dr. Victor Bluml is currently working as a Assistant Professor in the Department of Department of Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy, Medical University of Vienna , Â Austria. His research interests includes Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy. He /she is serving as an editorial member and reviewer of several international reputed journals. Dr. Victor Bluml is the member of many international affiliations. He/ She has successfully completed his Administrative responsibilities. He /she has authored of many research articles/books related to Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy.
Research Interest
My main research interests are twofold. As a member of the Suicide Research Group I am interested in understanding the complex phenomenom of suicide from multiple perspectives. These inlcude epidemiological and clinical risk and resilience factors of suicidality as well as suicide prevention strategies. My second broad area of research interest is psychoanalytic theory and practice. Fields of interest include personality structure and personality functioning, psychoanalytic theories of suicide and psychoses, questions of the psychoanalytic setting, and applied psychoanalysis.
