Ralf Göddertz

Biography

Mr. Ralf Göddertz serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Daiichi Sankyo Austria Gmbh, Daiichi Sankyo Deutschland Gmbh and Daiichi Sankyo (Schweiz) Ag. Mr. Göddertz serves as the Managing Director of Daiichi Sankyo Austria Gmbh, Daiichi Sankyo Deutschland Gmbh and Daiichi Sankyo (Schweiz) Ag. Subsequently, Mr. Göddertz became Head of the Business Group Pharma and Consumer Care in El Salvador and assumed his first responsibility for personnel, turnover and earnings. Later, he was promoted to the position of Marketing Manager of Pharma/Latin America at Bayer. In 1996, the manager with a fascination for sport moved to Poland, where he established Bayer’s Business Group Pharma and Diagnostics through 1999. He held positions at Bayer AG in Wuppertal and at Bayer plc in Great Britain through 2004. During this period, Mr. Göddertz’s responsibilities included strategic development, the asthma business and the oral anti-diabetic Glucobay. As Head of the Business Group Biological Products at Bayer Vital GmbH, he led Bayer’s strongest-performing business unit through the end of 2006 from his base in Leverkusen. Mr. Göddertz then joined Daiichi Sankyo, where he has been the Managing Director of the Japanese pharmaceutical company’s activities in Germany ever since. After serving as acting head of the company’s business in Spain, he assumed responsibility for activities in Austria and Switzerland in October 2008. Mr. Göddertz joined the European management team at Daiichi Sankyo in August 2009. Mr. Göddertz began his professional career at Bayer AG in Leverkusen after completing his A-levels in Germany. Following his training as an Industrial Business Management Assistant and Commercial Managerial Associate, he attended a Bayer trainee programme from 1989 to 1991 that included work in Spain and Great Britain.
