Biography
Michael Sauer Studies biotechnology at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich (ETHZ). PhD in biochemistry at the University of Vienna, Postdoc at the University of Milano-Bicocca. Trainee as patent assessor in Frankfurt am Main - head of research of the School of Bioengineering, FH Campus Wien - now senior scientist at the Department of Biotechnology, BOKU Wien and key researcher at ACIB GmbH - habilitation in industrial microbiology - head of the CD Laboratory for Biotechnology of Glycerol - research projects are dedicated to microbial conversion of biomass derived resources into chemicals, employing metabolic engineering and bioprocess engineering based on metabolic modeling approaches, published about 50 peer reviewed papers
