Biography
Benjamin Klaus was born in April 1991. After graduation at the HTL St. Pölten (department of Electronics) and attending the civilian service he studied Software & Information Engineering at the Technical University Vienna (Bachelor degree). Afterwards he worked part-time as a software developer and at the same time studied Health Assisting Engineering at the FH Campus Vienna (Master degree). For his master thesis he developed "AsTeRICS-Ergo", an extension of the existing AsTeRICS framework that allows to intuitively and easily set up an environmental control system. Since September 2017 he is working as junior researcher in the ToRaDES project, which focuses on smart homes and assistive technologies.
