Biography
Kurt Lamedschwandner received his MSc in electrical engineering from the Vienna University of Technology in 1993, his MBA degree from Webster University Vienna in 2001 and his PhD from the Johannes Kepler University Linz in 2009. Kurt joined the Seibersdorf Laboratories in 1993, where he is head of the business unit Electromagnetic Compatibility and of the accredited EMC Test Laboratory. As lecturer at the University of Applied Sciences Technikum Wien and at the Vienna University of Technology he has taught more than 30 courses in EMC and on human exposure to electromagnetic fields (EMF). He is chairman of the Austria Chapter of the IEEE EMC Society and member of the Working Group EMC of the Austrian Electrotechnical Association (OVE). His research interests include EMC and EMF measurement methods, EMC and EMF legal requirements and standards, EMC aspects of high-speed bus systems and EMC design of dependable embedded components and systems. Kurt Lamedschwandner has authored or co-authored more than 50 conference and technical papers.
