Biography
Lorenz Froihofer studied computer science and computer science management at the Vienna University of Technology and received his Ph.D. degree in computer science 2007 with distinction. During his study, in research, and in lecturing, he specialized in software engineering of dependable distributed systems within the EU research project DeDiSys (Dependable Distributed Systems) at the Distributed Systems Group. Previously, he worked as a research assistant in MediaTeam Oulu (University of Oulu, Finland) in the area of location-aware smart clients, and performed his master's thesis about WLAN security in close cooperation with SIEMENS Austria. As a PostDoc he contributed his expertise in software engineering, security, and dependable systems to the Austrian FIT-IT research project TRADE (Trustworthy Adaptive Quality Balancing through Temporal Decoupling). Currently, he works as an IT Architect for Operation Support Systems at A1 Telekom Austria. Please refer to http://www.froihofer.net for further details.
