Mathias Forjan

Biography

Mathias Forjan, MSc is Researcher at the University of Applied Sciences Technikum Wien, since 2011. He is affiliated with the Department of Biomedical, Health & Sports Engineering where his profession lies in the ventilation and aerosol research. He was the project supervisor of the EU funded project AlveoPic, which investigated the re-conditioning of porcine lungs for ventilation simulations and aerosol measurement applications. Since 2015 he took over the project management oft he FFG funded project REHABitation, which will end in August 2018. His research activities also include the use of medical IT standards in the professional and private environment. Mathias Forjan is the deputy program director of the Master degree program Biomedical Engineering Sciences and coordinator of research activities in the research focus „Secure Services, eHealth & Mobility“ at the university since September 2015. He is mainly in charge of the Quality Management System and Controlling Activities for the research focus eHealth and holds various lectures in biomedical engineering, ventilation and aerosol technologies, Medical Product Quality Assurance, Medical Software Development Lifecycle and project leadership in the Bachelor and Master degree programs of Biomedical Engineering at the UAS Technikum Wien. He presented on multiple national and international conferences and received the “Kapsch Award” for his Master Thesis.
