Biography
David Niyazi oglu Mammadov was born in 1955 in Kurdamir. In 1980, graduated from Oil and Chemistry Institute (Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University) majoring in oil and gas process chemistry. Started his career at the Baku New Oil Refinery in 1976 and held positions of operator, processing unit supervisor, workshop chief deputy, workshop chief and head of division until 1994. He was first deputy director and chief engineer of “Azerneftyanacaq” Production Enterprise, chief engineer of Heydar Aliyev Baku Oil Refinery in 1994-2005. He was appointed to the post of SOCAR Vice President for Refining in 2005. David Mammadov was awarded the title of Honored Engineer of the Republic of Azerbaijan in 2005, “Tereqqi” Medal in 2010. He is member of New Azerbaijan Party.
