Biography
Azizul Haque is an Associate Professor of Microbiology and Immunology at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC). He received his B.S. in Biological Sciences (1990) and M.Sc. in Microbiology & Immunology (1992) from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh, 1990). Received PhD in Microbiology & Immunology (Saga Medical University, Japan in 1997), and completed his postdoctoral training at the Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis (1998-2003). In 2004, he joined MUSC as an Assistant Professor. He received Awards from the Ministry of Education in Japan, Arthritis Foundation, American Lung Association, Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS), MUSC, Hollings Cancer Center, Department of Defence (DOD), National Institutes of Health (NIH). He has been serving as an ad hoc or full reviewer of at least 12 journals, and LLS, DOD and NIH Study Sections. He has published more than eighty peer-reviewed papers, five book chapters, ten review articles and three editorials.
