Biography
Dr. Xin Chen has received his PhD in Biomedical Engineering in Case Western Reserve University in 2007. Currently,he is working as an assistant professor in the Department of Radiation Oncology in University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. He did his postdoctoral research in Radiation Oncology in University of California San Francisco during the period of 2007-2008.His research has been focusing on image-guided therapy, treatment planning, and high intensity focused ultrasound. In the past five years, he has authored about 10 research articles as the first author.He is actively serving as a reviewer for several reputed journals and as an associate editor for ‘Medical Physics’.He is a full member of AAPM. In 2011, he received a research award from Focused Ultrasound Surgery Foundation for his research on the combination of focused ultrasound and radiation therapy.
