Biography

He graduated in Medicine at the University of Milan in 1984 and obtained his Board in Neurology in 1989. In 1990 he obtained a clinical position at the Department of Neurology of the S. Gerardo Hospital in Monza. Since 2001 he is also Professor of Human Anatomy at the School of Medicine of the University of Milan-Bicocca, where he is the coordinator of the PhD program in Neuroscience and head of the Experimental Neurology Unit. He is member of the Italian Society of Neurology, of the Peripheral Nerve Society, of the Italian Society for neuro-Immunology and of the Italian Peripheral Nerve Association, he coordinates the activity of the Italian Network for the Study of Toxic Neuropathies (NETox) and he was member of the CME subcommittee of the European Federation of Neurological Societies (1998-2005). Research Interest

Basic research on the pathogenesis and treatment of peripheral neuropathies and neuroimmunological diseases. Clinical research on chemotherapy induced peripheral neurotoxicity and neuroimmunolgy, Diabetic Neuropathy.
