Biography
Dr Ali Abdulnabi Farhan holds a PhD in Modern Literary Criticism and a PhD in Arabic Language & Literature, both from Ain Shams University in Egypt. He also holds a Master’s degree in Arabic Language & Arabic Grammar (2001) and a Bachelor’s degree in Arabic Language & Education from the University of Bahrain. Dr Ali joined Ahlia University in September 2011 as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Arabic Language & General Studies, Faculty of Arts, Science & Education. He was appointed Chairperson of the Arabic Language & General Studies Department in 2013.
Research Interest
Dr Ali has published research in the old and the new Arab narrative, a narrative of the Arab proverb, pilgrims in shrines Hariri, infrastructure and the deployment of some of the cultural pattern. Other research is in progress. Particular interests include: Emro Alqais: a hero, Al Maqamat: the cultural structure and layout, Maqamat Hariri model, Pilgrims in Maqamat Hariri, Narrative and meaning, Focusing in the Arab narrative, He has participated in various seminars and conferences.
