Biography
Ian Goodfellow is Head of the Virology Division at the University of Cambridge, and holds a Wellcome Senior Fellowship. His primary research interests life in the study of small RNA viruses within the Caliciviridae family.
Research Interest
Prior to his current position, he worked in the Section of Virology at Imperial College London. He established his own research group at the University of Reading, having completed postdoctoral research positions in virology both there, and at the University of Glasgow. He holds an undergraduate degree in microbiology and virology from Warwick University, and a PhD from the University of Nottingham, which he gained under the supervision of Professor Liz Sockett.
