Maria Casoria

Biography

Dr. Maria is a Bachelor of Law and International Organizations, Masters of Law, and Ph.D. in Markets Law. Her academic background is rooted in Comparative Law, and she is specialized in Competition Law. Moreover, she has been Global Stiefel Fellow in Antitrust Law at New York Law School, Institute for Information Law & Policy. Dr. Maria is member of the Italian Society for Research in Comparative Law, and author of several articles published on leading Italian law journals, both in Civil and Commercial Law. She is Barrister at Law, and Mediator in Civil and Commercial Disputes. Before joining RUW, she has worked in Rome at the Italian Competition Authority, Legal Affairs and Litigation Department.

Research Interest

For several years she has been member of the Research Units for Comparative Private and Commercial law, European Tort Law, Economic Analysis of Law, and Intellectual Property at the Department of Law of the University of Siena, where she has served as tutor for undergraduates and has given lectures in the mentioned research fields.
