Biography
Dr. Nessreen Elmelegy completed her Doctoral work as a PhD researcher in the Institute of Design & Media – University of Applied Sciences and Arts in Hannover, Germany. Before joining RUW she was an assistant Professor of Fashion Design in the ready-made garments Department, Faculty of Applied Arts, Damietta University, Egypt. She was also External Auditor for the Higher Education Institutions, The National Authority for Quality Assurance & Accreditation of Education, Egypt. She also worked as a Vice Manager of the Quality Assurance & Accreditation of Education Unit, Faculty of Applied Arts. Damietta University, Egypt. She has authored many research papers in the field of Fashion Design in many International Conferences and Journals in England, Poland and Egypt. She also published an international book in Amazon .com under title “Innovating Fashion Designs from Ancient Egyptian Costumes”. Dr. Nessreen has successfully guided three M.Sc. research theses in Damietta University and is still working with two M.Sc. students under her supervision. She shared in a Fashion Project 'Hannover goes Fashion' in University of Applied Sciences and Arts, Hannover during her study there in 2008, also she organized and supervised two fashion shows in Egypt in 2010 and in 2012.
Research Interest
She has teaching experience of more than fifteen years in teaching fashion design courses in Faculty of Education, Mansoura University, and Faculty of Applied Arts, Damietta University, Egypt.
