Biography
Dr. Samar believes always in the importance of the right education for women and children in the Arab society. She fulfilled her dream to go back to school while she had three children. Starting from 1992 till 2008 she received her three degrees (one year before her elder son received his own PhD). She has established a foundation called Antami (I belong) to publish books and stories for children about Arab heritage and culture. Her first book is going to be released in summer 2014. She has also published many articles and studies about human rights, education, women and culture. She is also writing a book on Women in the Arab world.
Research Interest
Dr. Samar is a member of the The World Council for Curriculum and Instruction (WCCI) – Bahrain Chapter to highlight issues of concern in curricula as they relate to global educational paradigms and to create linkages between educators and other stakeholders within the Gulf region.
