Biography
I am the Director of Cytopathology and Fine Needle Aspiration services for Emory University Hospitals in Atlanta, GA. In addition I also am the Director of Cytopathology Fellowship Training Program and have been supervising the Fellowship training for the last five years. My current research interests include usage and validation of molecular biomarkers in Fine needle aspiration and cervical cytology specimens for further characterization of neoplastic lesions. In this regard I have published numerous papers involving applications of immunohistochemical staining in cytology samples. Research Interest
I have focused on various aspects of cytopathology for my research work. This has involved projects looking into molecular markers which could be helpful for diagnosing malignancies on cytology specimens. I have also done projects of a clinical nature evaluating the cytomorphology of various benign and malignant entities, diagnosed on fine needle aspirates. I have also published numerous papers focusing in cytopathology, lung transplantation and breast pathology.
