Biography
Thomas Neumuth is research group leader at the Innovation Center Computer Assisted Surgery at the University of Leipzig. He is heading the research group on Workflow and Knowledge Management and earned his Ph.D. at the University of Leipzig. He has published more than 40 reviewed papers and was author of ten journals and bookchapters. He has teaching experience of more than 10 years. He serves as reviewer of peer-reviewed journals in the area of process modeling, workflow management in the operating room, and surgical assist systems. Thomas Research Interests includes Process modeling and workflow management in healthcare, including clinical and diagnostic pathways and treatment decision support, knowledge management, process-based evaluation and validation of hard- and software, as well as health technology architectures and information systems in operating rooms
