Biography

Jelena Nesic is a Research Psychologist at the Women’s Health Division, University College London Hospital. She has over 10 years of experience of working in the field of human psychopharmacology at University of Sussex and University of Brighton where she was involved in several projects investigating the mechanisms of alcohol, nicotine and caffeine addiction. Her research work includes the first investigation of serotonergic involvement in stress-induced alcohol cue-reactivity in social drinkers as well as a series of studies which successfully demonstrated the role of glutamatergic NMDA-receptor activation in subjective effects of smoking.
