Biography

Md Rezaul Karim, born in 1983, obtained BSc. (4-years, honors program) and MSc. degrees in Statistics from Jahangirnagar University, Bangladesh in 2005 and 2006 respectively. He achieved the first class first position in the post graduation in his tenure. He also secured his second MSc. (2-years program) in Biostatistics from Hasselt University in 2015 under VLIR-UOS scholarship. Currently, he is conducting research for the doctoral degree in the joint Ph.D. program of the KU Leuven University and Hasselt University. The doctoral program focuses on nonparametric and semi-parametric techniques for flexible modelling of the unconditional and conditional mean and quantile functions. He worked as an MIS Associate in the Global Communication Center (GCC), Dhaka after completing his first post-graduation. He also worked as a Senior Officer in Sonali Bank Limited, Bangladesh, a few months. He has been working as a faculty at Jahangirnagar University (since 2009) in the Department of Statistics, Bangladesh. Currently, he is also an academic staff in KU Leuven and Hasselt University, Belgium.  Mr. Karim is interested in performing collaborative and interdisciplinary research in any area of the Mathematical Statistics and Biostatistics. Research Interest

Mathematical Statistics: Quantile Regression, Asymmetric Family,  Bayesian Data Analysis, Nonparametric and Semiparametric statistics. Advanced Biostatistics: Survival Data Analysis, Bayesian Disease Mapping, Longitudinal Data Analysis, Multiple Imputation.
