He has Post Graduate degree in M.Sc. (Chemistry). He is a retired Government official belonging to Indian Administrative Services and retired as Chairman, Staff Selection Commission and Government of India. He has vast experience in the field of finance, accounts, audit, taxation, legal, project and general management. He had held various senior level positions in Government Ministries and offices.
