Biography
"Dr. Chowdhury, aged 59, is the Director, Industrial Operations. He joined Popular Pharmaceuticals on 23 March 2005. He holds a Ph.D in Pharmaceutical Science from Supreme Attestation Commission, Moscow in 1984. Before that, he did his M. Sc. in Pharmacy from Kharkov State Pharmacy Institute, Ukraine in 1980. Prior to joining Popular Pharmaceuticals Ltd., he served the Beximco Pharmaceuticals for 8 years in various discipline like Quality Assurance and Quality Control. Dr. Chowdhury was the General Manager, Quality Operations from 2003 to 2005 and was the Head of Beximco Track – II Plant. He also served Rhone Poulenc Rorer Bangladesh Ltd. for 13 years as Development Pharmaciests, Head of Technical Services and Quality Assurance Manager. In total Dr. Chowdhury brings more than 28 years of relevant job experience within the pharmaceutical industry. " In 2009 Dr. Rahman established Popular Specialized Hospital and in 2010 and under the umbrella of Popular Group, Popular Medical College started its academic session in 2011. Dr. Rahman is the Chairman of the Board of Governs of Popular Medical College."
