Dr. Mohammed Motahar Hossain

Biography

 Dr Mohammed Motahar Hossain graduated with government scholarship from Cairo University of Egypt in 1983 securing 79% marks. After completion of internship he trained in the field of Medicine and obtained his professional fellowship (FCPS) in Medicine from the Bangladesh College of Physicians and Surgeons (BCPS) in 1992. Then he worked as Consultant Physician in Munshiganj Sadar Hospital and 200-bedded Hospital, Narayanganj for 8 years. He also obtained MD (Doctor of Medicine) in Hepatology from Dhaka University in 2000 and joined Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College & Hospital as an Assistant Professor of Medicine. He was later appointed as Assistant Professor of Gastrointestinal & Liver Diseases in the same Institute. There he was involved in teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students and was a resource person in the Medical Education department as an expert in curriculum development. He gained wide rangesof advanced training in his respective field. He also obtained special training in Therapeutic GI Endoscopy and ERCP in Digestive Diseases Centre in Mumbai, India and Global Hospital Hyderabad, India. He has authored several scientific papers published in national and international journals. Prior to joining Square Hospital he worked as a Senior Consultant (Gastroenterology & Hepatology) and Chief Endoscopist in Labaid Specialized Hospital, Dhaka. He joins Square Hospital as a highly skilled ConsultantHepatologist and Gastroenterologist.
