Biography
Dr. Virender Suhag did his MBBS from the prestigious Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences, Rohtak, India; followed by his MD Radiation Oncology from the same institute in 2002. Thereafter he cleared his DNB Radiation Oncology from National Board of Examinations (NBE), Delhi, India. Till now, he has got more than 12 years of teaching and professional experience in the specialty of Radiation Oncology and has got more than 25 papers as first author to his credit in reputed national and international journals. He has served in several multispecialty tertiary care hospitals with academic and research interests, including Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) Chandigarh; Command Hospital Bangalore; Command Hospital Lucknow etc. Presently he is heading the department of Radiation Oncology at the esteemed Army Hospital (Research and Referral) Delhi. He is a recognized teacher and examiner for several academic forums. Research Interest
His special areas of interest include Neuro-oncology and Gamma Knife radiosurgery. He is also trained in hospital administration and holds an additional recognized qualification called Post Graduate diploma in Hospital and health administration (PGDHHM). Presently he is also working in a research project on psychiatric-oncology.
