Biography
. Leffert received a degree in biology from Brown University and his medical degree from the University of Minnesota. He completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at UT Southwestern/Parkland Memorial Hospital. Dr. Leffert began his research fellowship by studying genes that regulate carbohydrate metabolism in the Touchstone Diabetes Center and completed his clinical fellowship in endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas.
