Biography
Professor Zahidul Hasan MBBS, M Phil, MPH, a renowned Microbiologist, has graduated from Dhaka Medical College in 1982. Initially he served in a British Tea Company Sylhet, as GMO (Group Medical officer) for 6 years. He then obtained his M. Phil in Microbiology from Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) and MPH in Epidemiology from National Institute of Preventive and Social Medicine (NIPSOM) Dhaka in 1993 and 1998 respectively. He consecutively served as Assistant Professor, Associate Professor and Professor and Head of the Department of Microbiology in Bangladesh Medical College, Dhaka during 1993 to 2004. He then joined Ibrahim Medical College as Professor of Microbiology and worked there for two years and finally joined Square Hospital in 2006 as Consultant- Microbiology.
