Biography
Lawyer specialised in intellectual property and industrial property, Nawel Rafik-Elmrini is Deputy Mayor of Strasbourg in charge of European and International affairs, twinning and decentralised co-operation. She is in charge of the new Partnership Agreement, signed in May 2010, between the Council of Europe and the City of Strasbourg. Since 2010, she is also a member of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of the Council of Europe. Committed to the values of democracy, human rights and the rule of law, Nawel Rafik-Elmrini, from the beginning of her political mandate, has "pleaded" the cause of Schools of Political Studies. In June 2010, she was elected Vice-President of the Association of the Schools of Political Studies of the Council of Europe.
