Biography

 Charlotte is a lecturer in the department of philosophy, logic and scientific method, a director of the Sigma Club, and serves on the committee of both the Centre for Philosophy of Natural and Social Sciences and of the British Society for the Philosophy of Science. Charlotte is interested in the methodological foundations of climate science, in particular, in evidence and confirmation, in probabilities and probabilstic forecasting, and the role of modelling in climate science. Before taking up a lectureship in philosophy at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), Charlotte was a junior research fellow at the University of Oxford (2009-2010). She has a PhD in philosophy from the University of Cambridge, as well as an MSc and BSc in applied mathematics and an MA and BA in philosophy from the University of Salzburg. Charlotte won the 2011 Cushing Memorial Prize (for work in the history and philosophical foundations of physics).
