Biography
Henry joined the Grantham Research Institute on Climate Change and the Environment as Head of Engagement in June 2017.Henry joined the Institute following over a decade of experience in communications across higher education, research and environmental organisations. Immediately prior to joining the Institute, Henry led the communications team at Birkbeck, University of London, covering digital, print and stakeholder communications as well as media relations. Prior to that, Henry was part of UCL’s central press office focusing on communications around enterprise, including research commercialisation, spin-outs and entrepreneurship. His communications experience also includes working at the Royal Geographical Society (with IBG) in research communication and at Friends of the Earth England, Wales and Northern Ireland, where he led communications at two UNFCCC conferences, in Copenhagen (COP 15) and Cancún (COP 16). Henry comes to the Institute having originally studied an undergraduate degree in Geography at the University of Oxford. He is currently completing a Master’s degree in Management at Birkbeck, specialising in environmental economics and business sustainability.
