Biography
Tobias’s work focused on the impact of trade liberalization and climate change policies on various firm characteristics including energy efficiency, productivity and exporting behaviour of firms in developed and developing countries. Moreover, Tobias is also interested in the economics of regional trade agreements and their impact on the multilateral trading system, as well as the effect of geographical and institutional aspects on the environment, migration and economic performance at a sub-national regional level. Tobias left in November 2014 to take up a permanent post at the European Commission in Brussels.
