Biography
Pavel Laschenko has 20 years of professional experience, with much of this time (16 years) focused on auditing large financial institutions and a diverse range of companies in Belarus and the CIS. Pavel Laschenko has been heading EY (Ernst & Young) office in Minsk since 2000, the year of its opening, and in 2010 he became Managing Partner for Belarus. The office has grown substantially during this time, and at the moment it counts more than 200 employees. Pavel is an advisor to the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus on IFRS implementation in the Belarusian banking sector and a member of the Coordination Council on Convergence of the Belarusian laws with IFRS under the Council of Ministers of Belarus. From the year 2000 till 2003 Pavel took part in the development of the National Rules for Auditing Activities based on International Standards on Auditing as a member of the Methodological Council on Auditing under the Ministry of Finance of Belarus. Pavel is a member of the Foreign Investment Advisory Council under the Council of Ministers of Belarus (FIAC) and acts as FIAC coordinator on the part of foreign companies and international organizations. Pavel is a fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants of Great Britain (FCCA).
