Sue H. Rataj

Biography

  Ms. Sue H. Rataj has been a Director of Agilent Technologies, Inc. since September 15, 2015. She has been an Independent Director of Cabot Corporation since September 9, 2011. Ms. Rataj served as the Chief Executive of Petrochemicals at BP p.l.c. from April 2008 to April 2011. She served as a Group Vice President of Refining and Marketing at BP p.l.c. from July 2007 to April 2008. She served as Group Vice President and Head of Aromatics & Acetyls Business/Chief Executive of Global Aromatics & Acetyls at BP p.l.c. from June 2008 to 2009. She joined BP Petrochemicals in 1999 and served as General Manager of North America PTA from 1999 to 2000. At BP Petrochemicals, she served as Business Unit Leader of Global Nitriles Business from 2000 to 2001, Vice President of Business Process Re-engineering from 2001 to 2002, President of Asia Aromatics from 2002 to 2004, President of Global PTA from 2004 to 2005, Special Advisor of Texas City Response from 2005 to 2006 and Chief Executive of Air BP & Marine Fuels since 2006. She served as Group Vice President of Safety, Operations & Technology at BP Petrochemicals from 2006 to 2008. She served as the Head of BP's purified terephthalic acid business. She served as a Member of Supervisory Board at Bayer AG since April 2012 until April 2017. She joined Amoco Corporation in 1988 and held various staff roles from 1988 to 1995. She served as Sales & Marketing Manager of Polybutene from 1995 to 1996, Industry Manager of Lubricants & Additives from 1996 to 1998 and Business Manager of Americas PTA from 1998 to 1999. She served as a Director of Shanghai Secco Petrochemical Co. Ltd. Ms. Rataj graduated from the University of Illinois with a B.S. in Economics and Finance in 1985. She received her M.B.A. in Finance from the Kellogg Graduate School at Northwestern University in 1988.
