Biography
François L. Thys joined allnex at the beginning of April 2013 upon completion of its acquisition by Advent International from Cytec Industries. Formerly, François was Vice President of UCB and a member of UCB’s Senior Leadership team in different capacities covering global procurement, alliance management, external manufacturing and site management. François began his career with Royale Belge (today AXA) in 1979, where he worked in financial marketing. In 1984 he joined UCB, exercising different functions in finance, manufacturing, operations, sales, supply chain and procurement in Belgium, the USA, Spain and Switzerland in pharma, specialty chemicals and industrial films.He joined Cytec Surface Specialties in 2004. François holds master’s degrees in law from the University of Louvain and tax law from Fiskale Hogeschool, and a business degree from CEPAC (Solvay Business School in Brussels). François is a member of the allnex Executive Committee as Chief Operations Officer and has been a member of the allnex Advisory Committee since April 2013.
