Biography
Yarno has served as a director of Alder Biopharmaceuticals, Inc., a publicly-traded clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company focused on the development of monoclonal antibody therapeutics, since the end of March 2017. Ms. Yarno served as a director and member of the governance and nominating committee and compensation committee of St. Jude Medical, Inc., a Fortune 500 medical device company, from April 2002 until January 2017 when St. Jude Medical was acquired by Abbott Laboratories. She served as a director and member of the governance and nominating committee and audit committee as well as the chair of the compensation committee of Medivation, Inc., a publicly-traded biopharmaceutical company, from April 2013 until September 2016 when Medivation was acquired by Pfizer Inc. Ms. Yarno also served as a director and member of the compensation committee of Durata Therapeutics, Inc., a publicly-traded pharmaceutical company, from August 2014 until November 2014 when Durata was acquired by Actavis plc. Ms. Yarno received a B.S. in Business Administration from Portland State University and an M.B.A from Temple University. We believe Ms. Yarno is qualified to serve on our Board based on her extensive experience in commercialization of pharmaceutical products and in human resource management in the pharmaceutical industry and her service on the boards of multiple life sciences companies.
