Born on 15 July 1961, in Huy, Belgium, Belgian nationality. Gérard Lamarche is a graduate in Economics Sciences from the University of Louvain-La-Neuve and the INSEAD Management Institute (Advanced Management Program for Suez Group Executives). He also trained at the Wharton International Forum in 1998-1999 (Global Leadership Series). He began his career at Deloitte Haskins & Sells in Belgium in 1983 and in the Netherlands in 1987.
