Pascaline Wallemacq

Biography

Pascaline obtained a Bachelor's degree in Geographical Sciences at the Facultés Universitaires Notre-Dame de la Paix (Namur) and a Master's degree in Geographical Sciences at the Université Catholique de Louvain (UCL). Her Master's thesis was on the “Assessment and mapping of the vulnerability of populations exposed to floods inVietnam.” Between 2013 and 2015, she worked on geo-referencing footprints of natural disasters (EM-DAT) and its various applications. She also completed several reports using natural disasters data with the collaboration of UNISDR. She volunteered in South America and Nepal in 2016. She rejoined the CRED team after her adventures in April 2017.
