Biography
Duncan is a Mechanical design Engineer and is currently Engineering team leader of IMSaT and, Senior Technical Manager of the Surgical Technology and Robotics group. This group designs and manufactures prototype novel instruments for new medical procedures pioneered by group leader, Sir Alfred Cuschieri. Before joining STRG, Duncan worked as a design engineer in the defence industry and, as a consultant design engineer for various leading companies. Areas of particular expertise are high precision machining and material finishing. Automation of small component assemblies, novel design and problem solving, manufacturing solutions, gold plating and solderability. Duncan is a named inventor on 14 European, U.S. and U.K. patents
