Biography
Katie completed her MA in Politics and MSc in Criminology and Criminal Justice at The University of Edinburgh. She is now working for the Scottish Cancer Foundation through the Charityworks graduate scheme.
Research Interest
‘Prisoner Voting Rights: An Insider’s Perspective’ Qualitative research on the impact of prisoner dis-enfranchisement on individual’s sense of self. Research supported by ‘Positive Prisons? Positive Futures…’. ‘To what extent can stop and search reduce levels of violence?’ Mixed methods research on the impact of stop and search on violent crime. Project sponsored by Police Scotland’s National Stop and Search Unit.
