Biography
I am a software programmer with 6 years experience of academic research as a part time research assistant, part time PhD student at the School of Computing, University of Dundee (2006-2012). During this time I worked on a number of research projects working with image data, clinical records systems, internet interventions and mobile development. I was also actively engaged in the teaching of programming and research methods to undergraduate students. In March 2013 I moved to the HIC Services to join a multi-disciplinary team working on the Health electronic Research Centre's (HeRC) initiative from the Medical Research Council (MRC). This project aims to develop software for storage, maintenance and linkage of huge data sets including health information, genomic data and clinical images.
