Biography
The Bonn medical doctor Prof. Dr. med. Winrich Breipohl will support the Institute of Labor and Technology (IAT / Gelsenkirchen) as a research professor in the field of "Health and Quality of Life". Breipohl, who has been head of the Institute for Experimental Ophthalmology / Center for Ophthalmology at the University of Bonn since 1991, is particularly active in medical education at the medical faculty in Bonn as well as at a European level European Medical Association (EMA) has numerous contacts, relationships and projects worldwide. At the IAT, he will particularly support research on the internationalization of health care and will be involved in various projects, such as the BMBF project on health care export. Other topics include personnel mobility in European health care, "cultivable care" in Europe and a network of European pediatrics. The IAT Research Center "Health and Quality of Life" expects an expansion of the social and economic sciences as well as nursing education and training with medical competence, so that interdisciplinarity is further strengthened.
