Alice Mccall

Biography

Assistant coach Alice McCall joined the swimming and diving staff in August of 2016. In just her first season at FAU, McCall has been a pivotal member of the team specifically working with the distance swimmers. The program, especially on the women’s side, saw major performance improvement with multiple distance competitors setting lifetime bests at the 2017 Conference USA Swimming and Diving Championships. McCall joined the FAU swim program from the University of Toledo, where she was the assistant swimming coach for two years. During her time there, she was responsible for leading the mid-distance and distance groups, resulting in 95 percent of the squad swimming personal best times. This was achieved by developing, documenting and communicating the season plans for both squads, and supporting each swimmer on an individual basis to help them reach their goals. She was also the recruiting coordinator for the 2015-16 season, recruiting at both the national and international level and closing out the year with a program-impacting recruiting class.
