Biography
Dasha Cherkasov joined the Florida Atlantic University Student-Athlete Center for Academic Excellence staff as an Athletic Academic Counselor in February 2017. She is responsible for providing academic support for the women's basketball, men's and women's swimming and diving, and the women's golf teams. In addition to her role as an academic counselor, Cherkasov also serves as the co-coordinator for student-athlete career services. Prior to joining FAU, Cherkasov worked as the Associate Director for Student-Athlete Academic Services at Saint Francis University from June 2014 until January 2017. She was responsible for overseeing academic support for men's basketball, football, men's and women's cross country/track & field, women's swimming, softball, men's and women's tennis, and water polo. Her secondary duties involved being a secondary advisor to the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and SAMs programs, assisting with career development programs and heading the book loan program. She also implemented the Faculty Athletics Mentor (FAM) program.
