Biography
Marcy Hora-Cava was named Florida Atlantic's head women's tennis coach in the fall of 2008 after 10 years at the professional level as a player and coach. Hora-Cava in her seventh season as head coach finished last season strong, going 12-5. She coached Junior Bianca Biglione to 13 wins in singles and had five players with .500 or winning percentange. She also guided the doubles team of Catalina Ene and Lyndsey Boos to a 9-1 record. Hora-Cava led the Owls to a win increase in her first three years, highlighted by a 13-12 record in 2011. FAU tallied its first winning season since 2004 under Hora-Cava's guidiance. The success from 2011 carried over with the Owls posting back-to-back winning season in 2011 and 2012. Hora-Cava guided the team to a first-round victory over Arkansas State University in Sun Belt Conference Championships. FAU won 10 matches and had a six-match winning streak during the spring. Hora-Cava led the Owls to victories over in-state foes Jacksonville, Florida Gulf Coast and Bethune-Cookman.
