Biography
Eric de Montgolfier joined Gimv in 2015 as Head of the French Office. Before Gimv, Eric was for 11 years the co-founding Managing Partner and COO of Edmond de Rothschild Capital Partners, which raised and managed € 530 million dedicated to controlling investments in growth buyouts in the lower segment of the French Mid-market. Prior to founding Edmond de Rothschild Capital Partners, Eric joined Astorg, a French Private Equity firm in 1990, of which he became a founding Partner in 1998 when the firm became an independent management company. Eric originated and invested in a variety of majority and minority transactions, alongside entrepreneurs and/or managers, mostly in the consumer (brand, retail and services), TMT and B2B sectors, targeting companies in which he accelerated growth, in France and internationally, through a combination of organic growth and buy-and-build or roll-out strategies. Eric held numerous Board seats over the years, including at French iconic companies such as Picard Surgelés, Bonpoint and Christian Liaigre. Eric graduated from ESCP Europe (Paris).
