Biography
Mike Marberry has served as President & CEO of J.M. Huber Corporation since 2009. He was elected to the Huber Board of Directors that same year. A Huber leader since 1997, Marberry joined the company as Vice President of New Business Development. He served in this capacity until 2002, when he was promoted to Chief Financial Officer. Marberry was integral in developing Huber’s corporate and business unit strategies, completed numerous acquisitions and divestitures, implemented the Corporation’s debt capital structure, and strengthened Huber’s internal controls and compliance program. He played a key role in some of the most important M&A transactions in Huber’s history, including the expansion into hydrocolloids with the acquisition of CP Kelco in 2004. Marberry was named President of Huber Engineered Materials (HEM) in 2006 and took on the additional role of Board Chair of Huber Energy in 2008. In addition to currently serving on the Huber Board of Directors, Marberry is Chair of the Management Boards for HEM, Huber Engineered Woods and CP Kelco. In 2016, Marberry was appointed Board Chair of AdvanSix, Inc., a publicly traded leading manufacturer of Nylon 6 resin and other related chemical intermediates. He was also a former Director on the public company Board of Sigma-Aldrich Corporation, a leading life science and high technology company. Prior to joining Huber, Marberry worked at PolyOne (formerly M.A. Hanna Company), where he was in charge of Corporate Strategy and Business Development. Marberry was a business strategy consultant at McKinsey & Company for four years. Prior to this, he was a process engineer and product development group leader at the Procter & Gamble Company for five years. Marberry’s academic credentials include Bachelor and Master of Science degrees in chemical engineering from the University of Kentucky and an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College.
